Would'nt it be good if we could help!

If you ran your own business would you be prepared to give half your profit to a third world country on the basis that what you sold would only make you half the profit?

The upside is that many more people would be inclined to buy your product on the basis of helping a third world country and still recieve something for themselves. That is as simple as, you buy a bag of apples and half of what you pay for it goes to a needy cause while the other half goes to the seller. You the customer get the apples and the knowledge that you have helped a cause. The seller has the reward of supporting a needy cause and in the process gets more caring customers.

The idea is simple, so why are we not doing it more?

Made in China

Over recent years more goods are being manufactured in China. It is now a fact of business. It is cheaper to manufacture goods in China, and send them back to the country of 'ownership' for sale. This is simply because China can manufacture goods cheaper, because they pay people less.  Of note is that we do not sell the same goods any cheaper in our own country.

The end result is that any skilled manufactures we had are disappearing.  There overheads and wages too high to be competitive with China and India.

That  is not to say that manufacturing in China is of a low standard. too qualify, manufacturing is of a very high standard.  It seems we provided the Chinese with the latest manufacturing machinery and technology and resources to produce exactly what we were producing in our own countries, just at a cheaper cost. Now the Chinese produce the same if not better, because they can improve, on what we have given them.
